Registration Requirements

Dear All,

We would like to inform you that this year’s WUSV German Shepherd World Championships 2023 will take place in Győr, Hungary, from October 4-8, 2023, in the wonderful Alcufer stadium of Gyirmót FC. Several disciplines will be represented at this World Championship (IGP, Agility and Obedience), the Obedience section of the World Championship will be organised by the MNJK – Hungarian German Shepherd Club, with the support of Obedience Hungary Team SE.

Date of the obedience event 07.10.2023 (Saturday)
Training opportunity: 06.10.2023 between approx. 15-17 hours (Friday)

We can accept a total of 25 dogs, so you should think well in advance.

Entries are accepted for Obedience 1-2-3 levels according to FCI rules.

In addition to German Shepherds, our association would also like to offer the opportunity to competitors who wish to compete with other breeds, so we are pleased to inform you that the championship will be open to all breeds of dogs, including mixed breeds! However, they will not be qualified, but they will be awarded points and places and will receive a special prize. You can still enter in this case for the Obedience 1-2-3 levels according to the FCI rules.

A dog’s eligibility for an obedience competition/test is subject to the rules of the country of origin of the dog and the rules of the country where the competition/test is held. The rules of a country will determine which dogs are eligible to compete in obedience competitions (levels 1, 2 and 3). The conditions for eligibility for the competition must be published on the website of the country concerned.
Country rules must specify the minimum age at which a dog can compete at level 1. If the rules of the country organising the competition or the rules of the country where the dog is registered as of 01.01.2022 do not specify this, the dog must be at least 10 months old. At level 3 the minimum age is 15 months.
Spayed/neutered dogs and mixed breeds may also compete in the obedience competition.

Foreign competitors who enter the World Championship with a German Shepherd do not need to qualify, but there are conditions, which will be explained later. (Of course, competitors with a mix or other breeds of dog do not need to qualify either.)

More information (Facebook event, entry link, other details) will be coming later.

The MNJK and the Obedience Hungary Team SE wish everyone a good preparation
